Criminalization of homeless people in Montreal: social profiling

The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse du Québec investigated on whether there is discrimination towards homeless people. The Commission presented a research report accompanied of fourteen recommendations to the government and police, on the criminalization of homeless people in Montreal.

Workshop and Public Meeting on Human Rights in the Canadian Mining Sector

On November 20, 2009, professors Lynda Collins and Penelope Simons will host an interdisciplinary workshop for select academic experts to explore the human rights impacts of Canadian mining.  A public meeting will follow on November 21. (details)
